Negative trial of DHA supplementation in Alzheimer’s disease

 

Docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) is an omega-3 polyunsaturated fatty acid that has been shown in vitro and in animal models to alter beta-amyloid accumulation and to have anti-apoptotic activity (Oksman et al. Saliva amyloid proposed as Alzheimer disease biomarker
