Sleep disorders affect a majority of elderly in the community

 

REPORT FROM THE 2009 AAN ANNUAL MEETING – The Mayo Clinic Study of Aging has examined the prevalence of sleep disorders in 892 older subjects (ages 70-89 years) living in the community (Molano et al. AAN; abstract S07.005). A total of 527 subjects (59%) had clinical features of a sleep disorder.
